Writer: Melinda McDonaldMelinda McDonald

I’m grateful to the leaders in our organisation who recognise that evidence-based prevention, intervention and education programs are the first line of defence in protecting our communities, and have supported me to take the first steps in understanding how we can do this better at FRNSW.

Thank you to David Felton AFSM and Trent Curtin for leading from a place of integrity and empathy as we learn, and find ways to embed this knowledge to achieve better outcomes for our community.

We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia upon which we work, live and play. We pay respect to the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation upon whose ancestral lands the city campus of the University of Technology Sydney now stands. We extend that respect to all Indigenous and First Nations peoples across the world whose lands were never ceded.
